Portfolio
Check out some of the work I’ve done. Some of these are publicly accessible, some are on private networks (but hey–that’s what screenshots are for!), and one or two are actually printed on things in the real world.
Project Name: Sportexe Corporate Website
Type: Website
What I Did: HTML, CSS, ASP Features, Page Layouts, Flash Elements
The Rundown: A corporate website for Sportexe, a North American synthetic turf installer. Though I didn’t design the overall look, I put everything together, including a nifty database of case studies and customer quotes. I also did all the flash bits–the scrolling list of featured facilities on the right-hand side uses XML to load external images and data into flash for easy updating.
Project Name: Alexisonfire EP Cover
Type: Print / Packaging
What I Did: Layout, Type
The Rundown: I designed this CD EP cover for Distort Records and the band Alexisonfire. Sadly, I did not design the heart skull itself–I was strictly layout on this one.
At one point, these were going for ridiculous amounts of money on Ebay.
Project Name: Sportexe Corporate News Website
Type: Website / Wordpress
What I Did: HTML, CSS, Page Layouts, Wordpress Mods
The Rundown: This is an editorial/news website for Sportexe, a North American synthetic turf installer. This one was fun–it uses Wordpress as a content management system.
I didn’t design the header image, but everything else is totally mine. The theme is (heavily) modified from an existing one, but all the fancy content organization took quite a bit of tweaking, customizing and scripting.
The sidebar also pulls in some external news and flickr images.
The whole site is easily administered from the Wordpress dashboard.
Project Name: Sportexe Partner Extranet
Type: Website, Extranet
What I Did: HTML, CSS, ASP Features, Page Layouts, Flash Elements
The Rundown: This private corporate extranet was designed to give Sportexe’s partners quick access to product specs, drawings and other valuable materials.
Some other neat features include a “frequently asked questions” database, an interactive customer map, a company directory and a searchable database of PDFs.
This project took all kinds of know-how. It’s built on an ASP backend, laid out in standards-compliant CSS, jazzed up with some AJAX and the occasional flash element.
Project Name: Turfstore Corporate Website
Type: Website
What I Did: HTML, Page Layouts, Flash Elements
The Rundown: Very basic brochure-style site for Turfstore, a Georgia-based company who manufacture various types of synthetic turf. Turfstore is a simple company, and they requested a no-nonsense website.
Project Name: Sportexe Corporate Intranet
Type: Website, Intranet
What I Did: HTML, CSS, ASP Features, Page Layouts, Flash Elements, AJAX Elements
The Rundown: Corporate intranet for Sportexe. This website uses pretty much every kind of web technology imaginable, from hand-crafted features to third-party plug and play drop-ins.
The basic purpose of the site is to provide employees with access to important documents, contacts, event information and industry news. But the site also offers a wealth of specialized tools, including a measurement converter, an inventory management system and a corporate hotel finder.
